What We Handle
If It's a Trading Card, We Know It
From shoeboxes of baseball cards to binders of holographics — we've seen it all and know what moves.
Pokemon
First Edition Charizards to modern chase cards. The Pokemon market is massive and constantly shifting — we track it daily.
Baseball
Vintage Topps, Bowman rookies, junk wax sleepers. Baseball cards built this hobby, and the right ones can be worth serious money.
Basketball
Jordan, LeBron, Luka, Wemby — basketball cards have exploded. We know which ones justify grading and which don't.
Football
Rookie cards, patches, autos. Football is the most volatile sports card market — timing matters, and we know when to move.
Hockey & Soccer
From vintage O-Pee-Chee to modern Young Guns and Prizm — the international sports card market has real depth. We know what moves.
Something Else?
Our expertise is sports and Pokemon, but we won't turn anything away. If you've got cards and aren't sure what they are, reach out — we'll give you a straight answer.

Built for People Who Aren't Collectors
Eddie Bear Trading Cards was built on a simple idea: people who find cards in their garage deserve the same expertise that serious collectors have.
Too many people get lowballed. They find a box of cards in the attic, Google a few names, get overwhelmed, and sell for a fraction of what the collection is worth — or worse, throw it away.
We exist so that doesn't happen to you.
We partner with R&D Sports Cards here in Connecticut for in-person evaluations and sales. For the broader market, we move cards through eBay, Whatnot live auctions, and direct buyer networks. When grading makes sense, we guide you through PSA and BGS submissions to maximize your return.
This isn't a side hustle. It's a concierge service for people who stumbled onto something valuable and want an honest partner to help them cash in.
Our Partner Shop

Eddie Bear Trading Cards handles all PSA grading submissions for R&D — so when their customers need cards graded, we’re the ones doing the work. When you work with us, you get concierge-level selling guidance backed by a real card shop you can walk into.

FAQ
Common Questions
Everything you need to know before getting started.
How do I know if my trading cards are worth anything?
Many cards from the 1950s through the early 1990s, and certain modern cards, can be worth significant money. Key factors include the card's age, condition, rarity, and the player or character featured. Rather than guessing or relying on outdated price guides, reach out for a free appraisal. We'll look at what you have and tell you exactly what it's worth in today's market.
How does the selling process work?
It starts with a conversation. You tell us what you've found — a few photos help — and we provide a free appraisal. From there, we recommend the best selling strategy for your specific cards. That might mean listing on eBay, running a Whatnot auction, selling through our partner shop R&D Sports Cards, or submitting to PSA/BGS for grading first. We handle the logistics; you make the decisions.
What types of trading cards do you buy?
We specialize in sports cards — baseball, basketball, football, hockey — and Pokemon. Those are our bread and butter. That said, if you've got other trading cards sitting around, don't hesitate to ask. We're happy to take a look at anything and point you in the right direction.
Do I need to know anything about my cards before contacting you?
Not at all. Most of our clients aren't collectors — they've found cards in a garage, attic, or inherited a collection and have no idea where to start. That's exactly who we built this service for. Just tell us roughly what you have (sport, era, quantity) and send a few photos if you can. We'll take it from there.
What is card grading and do I need it?
Card grading is a professional authentication and condition assessment service provided by companies like PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator) and BGS (Beckett Grading Services). They evaluate your card's condition on a scale of 1-10, seal it in a tamper-proof case, and assign a grade. A high-grade card can be worth many times more than an ungraded one. We'll advise you on whether grading makes financial sense — it doesn't always, and we'll be honest about that.
Will you lowball me?
No. Our entire business is built on the opposite premise. We're not a card dealer trying to buy low and sell high at your expense. We're a concierge service — our job is to guide you to the selling method that gets you the most money, not the least. We're transparent about market values, fees, and selling options. Our reputation depends on people feeling like they were treated fairly, and we take that seriously.
Where are you located?
We're based in Madison, Connecticut. For in-person appraisals and drop-offs, we partner with R&D Sports Cards locally. But we work with collectors across the country — send us photos, hop on a video call, or ship your cards with insurance. Same expert guidance whether you're down the street or across the map.
